DESIGN
Our marquetry boxes have a veneered top and a solid walnut case. The designs have been inspired by contemporary art, as well as traditional geometric shapes. The marquetry uses coloured and natural hardwoods which harmonise perfectly together.
Our solid walnut boxes have been inspired by the cut faces of a precious stone and designed for a special occasion such as an engagement, anniversary, birthday or Christmas gift. The top and interior surfaces have been veneered with a range of complimentary colours, enhanced by the equally beautiful velvet interiors.
MATERIALS
We use solid walnut from a sustainable source and our cases are designed and made with a high level of care and accuracy to reduce the waste material to a minimum.
Using veneers (very thin slices of wood) can help to conserve natural resources. They are dyed using a process that penetrates through the entire thickness of the wood, ensuring that the designs on our boxes will look vibrant and beautiful for many years to come.
QUALITY
Our boxes are made in our Somerset workshop using a combination of traditional tools, modern machinery and a range of different techniques.
